Hammarskiöld & Co represents Scania in appeal against record antitrust fine

Hammarskiöld & Co has, together with other international advisers, assisted Scania in its appeal to the General Court of the European Union of the European Commission’s decision of 27 September 2017 imposing a fine on Scania of over EUR 880 million. Hammarskiöld & Co has assisted Scania on a continuous basis during the investigation by the European Commission preceding the decision.

In the Appeal, Scania contests the findings and allegations made in the European Commission’s decision. Scania contests the allegation that it would have participated in collusion with other truckmakers on truck prices or timing of the introduction of new engines compliant with EU-legislation on exhaust emission standards.
